Hello, I'm an artist from São Paulo, Brazil. I draw, paint, write, among other things, and this is my website, where I will be self-publishing my works, or at least a portion of them. That's everything you need to know from the surface, hope you stay.
"Why a website?"
Because most third-party platforms are a complete farse, if not all. For artists, it makes the creative work much more based on building a ludic and parasocial relationship with the public, than making a good work in the first place. In order for this to work, one must feed its own selfishness and dilute it as much possible, so it meets the standards based on our current internet scenario, thus any form of personality turns into a mere caricature of reality. And since the art itself is secondary, it tends to become just immature escapist fantasy that doesn't mean or intend anything really (or if it has, rarely it's noted), as much it ironically illustrates this liquid reality in which we are presented.
But basically, social media for artists is just an ego orgy, you and others keep on stomping yourselves on circles, doing nothing and going nowhere, while only the owner of the brothel actually gets paid. Honestly, I don't wanna' be part of any of this, it drives one into absolute insanity.
